Actor Katherine Heigl is opening her mind about being raised in an environment that was a "white bubble" and how that realisation has impacted how she parents her adopted multiracial children. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said recent interview that, when it comes to skin colour there is no difference. After speaking with her sister who is adopted from South Korea she realized just the different ways society treats them. If I asked Meg about how she was treated when in public, with or without our parents, it was completely different. Meg replied: "Oh yes, I've seen it all!' Heigl revealed to Parents that it made her realize just the extent of her ignorance. According to the actor she was angry. She wanted to channel her anger into aiding her adopted daughters. Heigl has a four-year old son and a 13-year-old wife, Josh Kelley. The couple took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) and is black and was adopted in 2009.
