While I had one baby with me, and other babies within the cradle worked 12 hours a day cleaning floors and tear off wallpaper. Ha! The home was starting to appear nice, however there were a few things to be done. It would take a lot of money effort and my personal favorite brands interiors to decorate this place. In order to stay within my budget I took my kids along to search for treasures in estate sales. We had a weekly schedule which consisted of spending the week from Thursday through Saturday walking around estate sales and garage sales shopping for new and used items. I then spent the remainder of the week painting and sanding on the driveway. Furniture looked this way... which is where I found my love to restore. It didn't matter if the home was decorated. I rented a booth in the market at my local location and sold pieces there. It was possible to expand the area because I had plenty of pieces that I needed. I held open houses in my home where one 000 people could visit over a weekend, and they could purchase anything on the first level. It was here that my business Growing Days was born. As my business flourished and so did our small family. It was like I had found the perfect balance between being a mum as well as starting my own company. Growing Days was the obvious decision. A majority of those calling me were from those who visited my home at one of the furniture open house events. The time flew by before I had a fully-fledged home renovation company. It began with taking clients on one at a pace that I felt confident in. You would probably have amused me if I had told you that this was going to be the subject of a DIY Network tv series. Even now, when I look back on this situation and think about it, I laugh.
