She has a disability that is a component of her persona, however it's not the entire image. As a result Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't shy away from her handicap, however it's not focused on it as well. It's a message. It's important to keep in mind that everyone has numerous faces. Our identities are varied and we're much beyond our body. I don't want that to determine me. I do not wish to become a disability influencer where it's the only thing I discuss because there are many different aspects to me Lockhart says via video from her house in Nashville. This doesn't have any effect on my everyday life. I go about every day as normal and have found the best way for me to adapt to things. It's an integral part of my life, therefore it's important to discuss it. Lockhart encourages us to keep striving to be self-accepting. She admits that she has had periods where she felt insecure about dressing in certain styles that displayed her arms. She now wears any outfit she wishes and shares pictures on Facebook with pride. Self-love, according to her, is a kind of journey. "I don't think you'll ever get there," she said. That's true of everyone regardless of the level of insecurity. It is essential to surround yourself with individuals who truly understand you.
